We are all aware of the devastation that has ravaged north Alabama. Families are coping with the loss of homes and family and trying to rebuild their lives. To the best of our knowledge, the DI Alabama family has not suffered any loss of life, but we have had several families who have suffered the loss and significant damage to their homes. DI Alabama and Destination ImagiNation, Inc. have worked together to establish a DIsaster Benefit Fund. This fund is intended to help Teams pay the DI related fees for going to GFs. The following notes address who qualify and how to apply:

Thanks to the support of the DI Community this past year, the Destination ImagiNation Support Committee (DISC) will once again be offering up to $10,000 in scholarships to deserving candidates for the 2011-2012 Academic Year. Winners will be announced in May 2011. Awards will be paid out in September of 2011.
