My adventure in Creative Problem Solving began when I was on my first Destination ImagiNation (DI) team in the fourth grade. It was an absolute blast, and there was no question that I would join a team again in fifth grade. I continued to compete throughout middle and high school, and every year was more fun than the last. During my seven years on DI teams, I learned so much about teamwork, creativity, engineering, time management, performance, my own strengths and weaknesses, and so many other skills.

When it was time for me to go off to college, I knew that I wouldn't be on a team competing anymore, but there was no way that this would be the end of my involvement with DI. So when it become Tournament season, I decided to volunteer to be an Appraiser at the Regional and Affiliate Tournaments. I had great time and have been on the other side of the table for the past seven years. I have also served as Affiliate Challenge Master and as an Appraiser at Destination ImagiNation Global Finals.

So if you are a Destination Imagination alumnus, I would love to hear from you. We really want to get you plugged in as an Appraiser for the Tournaments or as a Team Manager or Coordinator, or whatever best suits your abilities. If you competed in DI in Alabama but now live or study out of state, let me know. I would be happy to get you in contact with the Alumni Representative for where you are, so that you can stay involved in this increDIble program.
