"Twenty Five years ago, my school principal told me I wanted to be the school’s OM(DI) coach.  Since I did not know what it was, I said, "Yes."  Several years later after I understood something about the whole thing, I was “invited” to help set up the Regional Tournament.  I was good at moving furniture, so I was invited to join the State OM board.  My taping techniques improved and in the next several years, I was selected to be the Central Region Director.  That was fun.  In addition, I got to go Appraise at Global Finals, which I still do today.  I became the Association Director in the 90s, which was a hoot!  When the Improv Challenge was added to the DI line for the 1999-2000 DI season, I became the Improv Association Challenge Master.  Recently, I was selected to be a member of several Challenge Writing teams and have helped write 5 of the last 6 Improv Challenges, including the wonderful DO or DI.  I have thanked the school principal who realized, before I did, that I wanted to be in volved with the many great kids and adults in this program."
